Music

The Center for Spiritual Living has a talented team of musicians and singers who bring inspiring music to our weekly services. The dynamic music ministry, under the direction of Beverly Daugherty, has gained a reputation for being one of the best and most powerful in the New Thought movement.

Our music, featuring a wide variety of musical styles, includes such well-known New Thought artists as Rickie Byars, Eddie Watkins Jr., Rafe Pearlman, Karen Drucker, Daniel Nahmod, Margaret Owens, Laura Berman, Gino Walker, Gypsy Soul, Jonakan O’Steen, Stephanie Anne Johnson, and Garnett and Beverly – just to name a few.

The CSL Celebration Choir

This awe-inspiring, all-volunteer adult choir consists of members and congregants of The Center for Spiritual Living, from professional singers to those who simply love to sing. Through song, the choir epitomizes the message of Love we celebrate at CSL. The result: music that is both powerful and moving. The choir performs regularly at our Sunday Celebration services (when we are meeting in person), with a short hiatus in the summer months. If you are interested in auditioning, please contact: Beverly Daugherty at beverlyd@spiritualliving.org

Seabeck

Now in its 57th year, the All-Community Summer Camp at the historic Seabeck Conference Center is the place where CSL families, singles, couples, and Sages come together for a week of heaven. Located on 90 beautiful acres with sweeping views of Hood Canal and the Olympic Mountains, and just 90 minutes from Seattle, Seabeck is a magical place to rest, reset, and recharge, while experiencing the unbridled joy and freedom of this summer camp experience.

As you may know, our All-Community Seabeck Summer Camp has been cancelled for 2020.

We have tentatively reserved the Seabeck Camp for a thoughtfully curated gathering for a small group of 45 (50 including staff and facilitators).

This will allow plenty of room to partake of many of the activities we all love and still adhere to social distancing and other health guidelines. Case in point, Seabeck will allow us to provide single room occupancy at no additional price. And while we won’t have choir rehearsals or one of our magical musical guests, we will still have spiritual practice opportunities, morning workshops, crafting, sharing, afternoon activities, sunset gazing, and evening rituals.

This Seabeck experience will be an Adults Only offering, as we won’t have the resources available to accommodate the Youth and Family Program.

We need to let the wonderful folks at Seabeck know if they should continue to hold the week for us, so if you are interested in reserving your space, please do so by emailing our registrar, Heidi Dillehunt, heidid@spiritualliving.org.

Seabeck camp is created for the community, by the community, and includes activities such as workshops led by our amazing staff ministers; arts and crafts sessions such as t-shirt decorating and tie-dyeing; playshops led by your co-campers; movie night; evening vespers with Kathianne Lewis; a concert with a guest musician; and our famous Seabeck talent show. If you seek a break fro activities, you’ll also find plenty of downtime where you can read, relax, go for a swim, or simply do nothing at all. A favorite past-time of many is sitting on the porch of the Inn in a rocking chair, watching the sun set over the Olympics.
