Rev. Kawika Harold Costa has been involved with CSL in Seattle since 1998. He has served our community in many volunteer positions and loves being a heartfelt support of our community. He loves officiating weddings and has done dozens. He became a prayer practitioner in 2008, and was the first minister to be accepted into the integrated United Centers for Spiritual Living in 2011.
A firm believer in the kinesthetic learning of Spiritual Principles, Rev. Kawika uses different learning techniques to tap into the Divine Wisdom of the physical body—techniques that serve him in good stead in the monthly Introduction to Practical Spirituality class and Virtual Meet N’ Greet, classes for Empaths and Steps to Freedom: Prayer and Meditation. He has taught for over two decades at CSL.
His passion for Spirit’s Love, Joy, and Truth led Rev. Kawika to the theater. He started working with Playback Theater Northwest (PTN) in 1994, rebuilding the troupe in 1998. Through his ministry with PTN, Rev. Kawika has taken PTN into prisons and has worked alongside companies such as Boeing and Starbucks; he also brings PTN to at-risk teens and many other schools and groups, recreating audiences’ real life stories.
Born and raised in Hawaii, Rev. Kawika is known for his warm presence and smile. He is also blessed with two children, Daniel and Grace.
