Membership Covenant
I declare my membership with the Center for Spiritual Seattle Living by stating that:
o I understand the Center’s philosophy and basic teachings, am aligned with them, and place a high priority on my spiritual growth. I practice the presence of Spirit by remembering that Spirit is in me and works through me at all times.
o I actively support the Center’s vision, mission, and goals; include the Center in my prayers, and value being part of something larger than myself.
o I include the Center in my financial planning; I undertake my fair share through systematic and joyful giving; and reap the satisfaction found in generosity.
o I joyfully serve my spiritual community.
o I act with constructive purpose toward the Center and my fellow members. When there is a concern, suggestion or simply something to communicate with the Center or a fellow member, I will seek inner guidance. Then using respectful communication practices with good intentions, I will speak directly with the person(s) involved.
o I participate regularly in the Center’s activities, recognizing that my presence and participation is a gift that enhances the experience for everyone whenever I am able to attend.
o Together with fellow members, I co-create with Spirit the ongoing, dynamic life of the Center for Spiritual Living.
o I recognize that together we keep its doors open, expand its programs and services, and thereby bless and serve an ever-expanding group of people making the world a better place. Through membership in the Center, I honor the Spirit in me and the Spirit at work through the Center for Spiritual Living.
