Who are teaching our children?

A Volunteer staff of over40congregants supports the Children atCenter for Spiritual Living.Program teachers have made a pledge to be proactively involved in theSpiritual Education of children by first and foremost spiritually feeding themselves. Teachers receive an orientation to the philosophy of Youth Ministry at Center for Spiritual Living. They receive ongoingtraining in classroom management, communication and various teaching skills, as well asreceiving practitioner prayer support and weekly contemplations to prepare for the lesson.

Parent Involvement

Because parents and guardiansare the most important teachers intheir children’s spiritual journey,we have designed our program toincludeparents.Parentsvolunteerin the classroom or Welcome Teamat least 1 time in a 2 month period.They receive a free CD of the day’s service when volunteering.

Staff

During all Youth & Family programs, at least one staff person is present.Staff are trained in youth development and are CPR & First Aid Certified.

There are a variety of volunteer opportunities available to support YFM.
