After many years in the film biz, spurned on by a dramatic series of profound shifts in my life, I stepped out of the rat race of Hollywood to pursue my first passion, music. Now, almost a year later, my self-produced, self-titled EP, LUNDSGAARD, is finished. This totally homegrown CD (I recorded much of it right here in my very bare bones home studio) isn't complicated. It's about love and celebration, and it's also a reminder to take it easy, keep smiling and not get dragged down by the circumstances of life. In deciding what songs to include on this disk, I thought to myself: Do I want to sing songs of love and joy, or songs of angst and suffering (often the main source of inspiration for so many other artists in the singer/songwriter genre)? Hey, I've got the sad songs too, I've got my heart-breaks and disappointments just like anyone else, but there is plenty of that out there in the world. I've noticed a growing trend in music lately, LOVE is getting cool again. It's okay to be positive and upbeat and hell, even spiritual! You don't have to have a cigarette dangling from your lips, a tattoo on your arm and a scowl on your face to be taken seriously as a musician anymore. So on this CD, I wanted to put something positive into the mix. Maybe I'll cry on your shoulders on the next one, but for now...Life is Good!"
