HOLIDAY SERVICE PROJECTS

Each December our CSL Community set up Community Service projects for you to join in on. These are wonderful opportunities to share your light with others during the Holiday Season. Projects range from giving gifts to local charities, to packaging food, bringing teddy bears for Children’s Hospital, to creating parties for local nursing homes and more.

DECEMBER DONATION DRIVES:

GIVING TREE  (Nov 25 – Dec 16): Pick a tags from the Giving Tree in the Celebration Hall lobby and bring unwrapped gifts back. Gifts will benefit families from the Broadview Emergency Shelter and Transitional Housing Program.

STORAGE TUBS (Nov 25 – Dec 30): West Seattle Nicklesville (Tent City) is in need of large heavy duty storage tubs to protect the personal belongings of tenants during the rainy months. The tubs will help keep their clothing and bedding free from mold and other damage.

TEDDY BEARS: (Nov 25 – Dec 23): Stuffed animals will go to children i nee through local organizations like the Ronald McDonald House, Lake City Holiday Project, Seattle Children’s Hospital, and Forgotten Children’s Fund.

FOOD DRIVE (Dec 9 – 23): Bring protein rich non-perishable food items such as peanut butter, canned stews and hearty soups, nuts, beans, canned fish, protein bars and drinks for Food Lifeline which supports Lake City Food Band and others in the Seattle area.
