Create A Better World

2017 Holiday Service Project Wrap-Up

Each year our Create a Better World team manages a variety of service projects to share the spirit of
generosity and Love during the holiday season. This year was no different, with SEVEN active service
projects. All in all, we served OVER A THOUSAND grateful recipients of meals, blessing bags, scarves,
gifts, coats, blankets, or stuffed animals. YOU gave over 465 donations, and 60+ joyful volunteers put it
all together!

  • Holiday Dinner at Solid Ground: 90 people served by 15 volunteers
  • Treehouse: 13 volunteers completed all the planned tasks, and then some, to help foster children in our area.
  • Giving Tree: 210 gifts provided by YOU!!!
  • Blessing Bags: 135 bags assembled by 20 volunteers
  • Teddy Bear Drive: Over 120 stuffed animals donated by YOU! Distributed to Giving Tree families, Seattle Police, North Shore Fire, and Forgotten Children’s Fund.
  • Scarf Making: 680 scarves made by 14 volunteers distributed through St. Francis House, Jubilee, Women’s Center, Mary’s Place Family Center, Union Gospel Mission and Roots Young Adult Shelter.
  • A bundle of Blankets and Coats were donated by YOU to St. Francis House, coordinated by the Teen Group!

Thank you so much to all the wonderful volunteers who put in the effort to bring joy to others!

We effectively guide, support and create opportunities for people to build community and make a difference in the lives of others. We are a channel of God’s Love, Grace and Power as we help transform ideas into reality through mindful service.

We have served a multitude of projects such as St Francis House, our local Food Banks, Rebuilding Together, Habitat for Humanity, etc. Scroll down to see what we’ve been up to!
