Winter Coat Drive
Sundays, Nov 18 & 25
Bring gently used or new winter coats for those in need. Collection at The Mountaineers 9am-1pm on designated Sundays.

Giving Tree
Pick up gift tags Sundays, Dec 2, 9, 16. Gift wrapping on Dec 16.
Volunteers needed to promote, collect gifts, transport gifts to CSL office after second service and on the 16th to wrap gifts.

Blessing Bags
Item collection for bags on Sundays, Dec 2 and 9. Bag assembly on Dec 9 at the CSL office.
Donate toiletry and other comfort items for the homeless! Need volunteers to transport items and assemble bags.

Small Stuffed Animal Collection
Sundays, Dec 2, 9, 16
Bring small new stuffed animals for first responders (firefighters and police) and Mary’s Place. Need volunteers to promote and be gracious receivers of the donations.

Tue, Dec 18, 1-4pm
You will be working in the Wearhouse, a unique store where foster children shop for free for new and gently used clothing and other essentials. Volunteers sort, tag and restock merchandise, and work on readying the store for shopping days. The work is not strenuous, and we have a great time socializing as well as supporting a great cause. The Wearhouse is located on the first floor at 2100 24th Ave S, Seattle, WA 98144.

 Ground Hogs Day Fun Run

We effectively guide, support and create opportunities for people to build community and make a difference in the lives of others. We are a channel of God’s Love, Grace and Power as we help transform ideas into reality through mindful service.


We have served a multitude of projects such as St Francis House, our local Food Banks, Rebuilding Together, Habitat for Humanity, etc. Scroll down to see what we’ve been up to!


If you have a passion and commitment to making a difference in the world, affinity for volunteer service then we have the perfect projects for you. Work with volunteers and project management skills/experience helpful, but not required.

  • Each year our Create a Better World team manages a variety of service projects to share the spirit of generosity and Love during the holiday season. This year was no different, with SEVEN active service projects. All in all, we served OVER A THOUSAND grateful recipients of meals, blessing bags, scarves, gifts, coats, blankets, or stuffed animals. YOU gave over 465 donations, and 60+ joyful volunteers put it all together!
    • Holiday Dinner at Solid Ground: 90 people served by 15 volunteers
    • Treehouse: 13 volunteers completed all the planned tasks, and then some, to help foster children in our area.
    • Giving Tree: 210 gifts provided by YOU!!!
    • Blessing Bags: 135 bags assembled by 20 volunteers
    • Teddy Bear Drive: Over 120 stuffed animals donated by YOU! Distributed to Giving Tree families, Seattle Police, North Shore Fire, and Forgotten Children’s Fund.
    • Scarf Making: 680 scarves made by 14 volunteers distributed through St. Francis House, Jubilee, Women’s Center, Mary’s Place Family Center, Union Gospel Mission and Roots Young Adult Shelter.
    • A bundle of Blankets and Coats were donated by YOU to St. Francis House, coordinated by the Teen Group!
