Inquiring minds want to know…

People have asked what my plans are for my upcoming sabbatical. I thought this might be the best possible forum for letting as many people as possible know at one time what I’ll be up to.

The answer? Not Work!

See, even though I love being a minister, I love studying for and creating new classes, I love watching people grow and evolve, I love thinking of creative solutions and working with some of the finest people around (both on staff and as volunteers), I was beginning to think of it as work. I hate work. I’ve avoided work most of my life. Instead, I did what I loved and got paid for it.

So, if doing what I was doing was work, I needed a break.

I really look forward to seeing what the two months off will reveal. I expect lots of a-has and oh-wows. I also know that I am and will always be a minister, so I’ll come back refreshed and rearing to go.

I ask that everyone reading this message do their part to keep CSL not only healthy but growing while I’m gone those two months. Invite friends to church. In fact, give them a ride there. Show up for the Talent / Art Show (I’ll be there as a civilian). Take some of the really cool workshops we will have on Sunday Afternoons. I’m counting on you.

Have a Fabulous Summer and I hope to see and (yes) hug, as many of you as possible the next two Sundays.
