Oh, Baby It’s Cold Out There!

For so many of our fellow citizens of the Puget Sound area, winter is a hard season to get through. I was ready to bemoan the low temperatures (never above freezing) at my house recently and then realized I have electricity, a furnace, and two fireplaces to sit by when it’s frosty outside. Some others don’t have it so good.

So, at this time of year I’m very appreciative of our Create a Better World team who make it easy for me (and all the rest of us) to contribute to small creature comforts of the homeless brothers and sisters around us. I have a chance to give blankets, warm gloves, coats, and socks just by going to church (which I was planning on anyway) and the CBW team will collect those items and deliver them where most needed.

If you are reading this blog, I encourage you to make a great group of people (the CBW team) happy by helping them keep as many people warm as possible this winter. Bring new or gently used winter items to CSL this month.

If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion.
