After the Wins and the Losses – Now What?

Well, after this year’s elections many people are elated, others deeply disappointed, and some of us are less concerned about the election outcome and more concerned about where we go from here. What I know for sure, as I watched the states being designated as blue or red during the election coverage, is that I really wanted to embrace those who felt so different than myself. If I believe all people are good, with good intentions (which I do), then they have valid ideas I want to hear and consider.

I also want the opportunity to share my ideals and values that shape my decision making. However, it’s hard to listen to others when we feel we are being attacked.

So, I promise to listen more deeply and not attack others for the next four years. If you join me, maybe we can start a trend.

If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion.
