On Sunday, June 24th, many area churches had floats and groups marching in Seattle’s Gay Pride Parade. There were Methodists, Protestants, Baptists, Mormons. One lady I met told me her Episcopal Bishop requested that all the churches in the region be represented. Obviously, many churches in the Puget Sound Area are realizing that the Creator of Heaven and Earth didn’t make any mistakes and names all of Its creation DIVINE; that means all people as well, no matter who they fall in love with.

What I’m truly proud of is that CSL was honored by the Pride committee for seeing all people as equal and blessed for decades! We really are path setters in many ways.

I write this for two reasons: 1) I hope you are equally proud of the public recognition and 2) I invite you to pay attention to what we teach. I predict that in 20 years most religious groups in the area will sound a lot like us. Of course they will continue to use the Holy Books they have now, but they will be interpreting those books in a more inclusive and wholistic way.

The Spirit of Inclusion and Harmony is rising up! Just Watch.

If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion.
