The old and the new

I love old things in new settings. I also love ancient spiritual practices refitted into my present spiritual practice.

This week is the beginning of the Lenten season. What does that mean for a student of New Thought teachings? It’s a good time to give up a behavior, habit or belief that doesn’t support our spiritual development. For instance, a few weeks ago I suggested giving up complaining, criticizing and being contrary for a week. For those who got good results, you might try the six weeks leading up to Easter. Whatever you choose to fast from, use it as an opportunity to create more time and attention for whatever spiritual practice appeals to you.

Happy Spring!

If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion.
